Garmin added a bunch of features to the 6 through software over the years and honestly, Id consider the 6 pro as a "base trim" Fenix, with the 7 series models as the higher trim packages. 6 pro gives you 90% of the features from Garmin including maps and music. It even has HRV status etc.

At least some months ago when I owned a Fenix it was only on the watch. If you freedive a lot then the Descent G1 is the only choice - unless you want to use a separate device for freediving. Descent G1 for battery life (solar charging) and GPS accuracy. Would say that G1 is your better options, unless you want to consider a MK2 (for maps etc)?
