This is a typical starter motor fault. Either inside the motor, or insufficient electrical power. The shrieking noise is either the starter teeth not engaged with flywheel, or the starter motor itself, possibly tight bearings. Jan 15, 2008. #7. It will definately come out but i can understand why you are worried. I found that the best way to do it is put your fingers through the grille and then push against the bumper with your thumb whilst pulling the grille. This way there are no sharp movements and your not gonna rip the bumper off, lol.
