I have a 1.6 petrol focus its a 2005 (newer shape) i think i have a fuel issue. it brings up a fault code that's for to lean. i have removed all fuel components under bonnet and cleaned them. i also cleaned the throttle body and map sensor.No, all Duratec 4-cylinder Focus engines (at least in the U.S.) are port-injected up until 2012. You can verify this by opening the bonnet and looking at the top of the engine. If there is a long, shiny, boxy metal fuel rail sitting in front of the black plastic valve cover, then it is port injected. If there isnāt one present, and there is a PCV Valve 2.0 Duratec 2007. I've read through several forums on how to replace the PCV valve. Many involve removing the intake manifold. Some hint at a shortcut that can be performed with 11 inch 90 degree bend needle nose pliers.
